To be filled at the earliest possible date. The position will be a tenured full professorship (grade W2). The position is situated at the chair of Botany II - Plant Ecophysiology at the Julius-von-Sachs-Institute. The research focus of the professorship should be in the field of biotic plant interactions and be based on molecularly orientated, causal-analytical approaches. We are looking for applicants who are working on an internationally recognised research topic in the field of plant interactions with mutualistic or pathogenic microorganisms. Participation in the establishment of new research networks is expected, and experience in acquiring third-party funding is a prerequisite. A willingness for interdisciplinary co-operation is also important. The tasks of the professorship include participation in teaching in the Bachelor's, Master's and teacher training programmes in biology in the fields of evolutionary and systematic botany, plant ecology and ecophysiology of plants.
