to work in a state-of-the-art genomics, transcriptomics, and cell sorting service group providing its service to several Max Planck Institutes. The successful applicant is expected to implement new pipelines and protocols in next generation sequencing (NGS) using long- and short-read technologies (Pacific Biosciences, Oxford Nanopore Technologies, Illumina) and to expand the method repertoire for low-input and single-cell applications. The applicant is expected to have strong communication skills and to be team oriented. We are looking for a candidate with wet lab experience and an enhanced interest in robotics and automation. Additional bioinformatic skills in e.g. high-throughput data analysis are a plus but not a prerequisite. We expect from the successful applicant to contribute innovative non-standard solutions to genomics- and transcriptomics-related questions.
