Doctoral Student/Ph.D. Candidate (m/f/d) - Functional epigenomics in leukemia
Aufgaben:
Lead or participate in research projects involving epigenetic mechanisms driving human leukemia using state-of-the-art multidisciplinary molecular techniques including: Standard wet lab techniques, including molecular cloning, DNA/RNA/protein detection, immunoprecipitation, cell culture, cell transfection, flow cytometry, RNA interference, gene editing, retro- or lentiviral transduction, etc. Advanced methods coupled with next generation sequencing (NGS), such as ChIP-seq, CUT&RUN or CUT&TAG, RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, CLIP/eCLIP, HiC/capture HiC NGS data analysis and interpretation Ex vivo or in vivo tumor modelling Internal and external collaborations to achieve the fulfillment of research goals Supervisory duties on junior members (e.g. interns) in the lab Attending and presenting research data at local, national and international seminars or meetings Summarizing work results for scientific publications
Qualifikationen:
Adequate professional qualifications: Master degree in life science, e.g. Biomedicine, Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology or similar Research training in molecular biology, cell biology, epigenetics or relevant disciplines Documented experience through scientific publications Knowledge in tumor biology and RNA biology would be a plus First-hand experience in gene gain- or loss-of-function and NGS methods would be highly desired Enthusiasm for engaging in cancer research and awareness of the translational significance of research work Capability of working independently as well as good spirit of team working Openness to personal growth and ongoing learning initiatives Competence in interpersonal communication, presentation, and scientific writing Proficient English skills for both oral and written communication for academic information exchange
