You have successfully completed a master of science and a doctorate in materials science, mechanical engineering or physics, are passionate about additive manufacturing of metallic materials and would like to gain further qualifications in your postdoc phase. If you fully meet all of the following mandatory requirements, we look forward to receiving your application: Extensive documented hands-on experience in the field of additive manufacturing of metals (PBF, DED) Extensive experience in material analysis and/or materials testing Very good knowledge of the materials science of metals and a good understanding of physics -enthusiasm for working in research and experience in handling complex systems and equipment High degree of independence, self-motivation, reliability and initiative Self-organization skills, ability to work in a team and good communication skills Very good English and good German language skills Very good written expression The following are also desirable: Experience in submitting applications to national and international funding agencies Scientific publications beyond the topic of the doctoral thesis This is a qualification position within the meaning of the Academic Fixed-Term Contract Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz - WissZeitVG), which can be filled to promote scientific or artistic qualification. The duration of the employment contract shall be appropriate to the desired academic qualification.
